Specialty Water Systems Water Softeners

To make sure your water is good for your appliances, plumbing, clothing, and cooking, trust in NorCal Water Systems. We’re seasoned experts who can test your water quality and recommend a solution if one is necessary. We always operate transparently and explain why we recommend any of our specialty water systems; in other words, we won’t leave you wondering about what we’re doing or if it’s even necessary or factual. We let you know what’s going on with your new system at every step, and we’re honest about what it can do and why it can benefit you and your family.

That’s the way it should be, after all. With a specialty water systems water softener from us, you can make sure that the mineral content of your water is just right for all your household applications and chores. Hard water can be a problem for laundry, dishes, regular cleaning, and even your own appearance, so it’s a persistent, annoying issue that only gets more stubborn the longer it’s left unaddressed. You’ll know if your water is too hard: You might notice a white chalky scale building up in your shower, faucets, or dishes, and your hair or skin might be persistently dry despite any hair or skin care routines you have. The buildup is from mineral deposits, which can also block moisture on your hair and skin. If any of that describes your household, we recommend booking a free consultation with us as soon as you can. We’ll test your water for hardness, and provide a quick installation.

How Do Our Compact Water Softener Systems Operate?

At Kinetico, we pride ourselves on a mix of convenience, efficiency, and reliability. You can see this reflected in our water softener system with reverse osmosis. Using a resin bed, the tanks in our softener system absorb the minerals out of the water through ion exchange. That means that harder minerals are switched out with sodium in the water, leaving it much softer than before. Essentially, mineral ions, which carry an electric charge, are pulled out of the water in a process similar to one magnet pulling another.

Eventually, all those minerals will accumulate in the resin bed, at which point the system will need cleaning. The softener uses salt in the regeneration process, which is how it removes minerals from its tanks. After the regeneration is taken care of, it can continue producing softened water.

Benefits of Our Specialty Water Systems Water Softener

  • All of our systems are dual-tank or multi-tank, which means that they’re never unavailable during regeneration. While one tank is in cleaning, the others are available to continue softening. So, you have access to soft water 24 hours a day.
  • Our Kinetico Whole House Water Filter only regenerate when needed and are based off of water usage, which economizes salt and water. Most single-tank systems regenerate at night whether or not they need to, which uses up much more water and salt than a system which only does it when it has to. So, our systems are more efficient, less wasteful, and more environmentally friendly.
  • Kinetico K5 Drinking Water Stations are non-electric. That means that they won’t be affected by power outages. It also means that there’s no computer attached to the system to worry about. You don’t have to set any sort of timer manually; the system has you covered.
